This customer had an old system that wasn't doing its job. Instead of ripping everything out, Chris kept one, added 12 new Jinko panels, a 10 kW hybrid inverter and a 13.8 kWh BYD battery.

The customer liked the numbers so much he upgraded to 22 kWh of storage and 15 kW of solar. Six months on: $0 a month on electricity.

50 amps of backup for the whole house

Two old systems weren't keeping up. Chris kept one, replaced the other with 12 Axitec 540 W panels, and added a 10 kW GE hybrid inverter with a 13.8 kWh BYD battery — sized to run the entire house on backup if the grid goes down.

The inverter's four MPPT inputs let the panels face four different directions, so an awkward roof isn't a problem.
